VCStat - Raspberry Pi vital signs for AROS (native Zune window, data straight from the VideoCore firmware). Main window: - CPU (SoC) temperature with gauge - core and SDRAM voltage - real ARM clock speed - power status, now and since boot: under-voltage, frequency capping, throttling, soft temperature limit ("since boot" = the lightning bolt condition, even before VCStat was started) - refresh every 1-30 s, no CPU use between readings, paused while iconified Mini mode (button "Mini" or menu Project -> Mini mode): - small temperature strip on the screen title bar - same colours as the title bar; red with "!" when hot (80 C, throttling) or on under-voltage - click the temperature: full window back - drag it with the mouse: moves left/right on the title bar - "x" quits; right mouse button: small menu (Show gauge, Quit) - checkbox "Start in mini mode" in the main window: start as strip (e.g. from SYS:WBStartup) or as normal window Details window (button "Details..." or menu Project): - board model, revision, RAM, SoC, maker, firmware date - ARM, GPU core, V3D and SDRAM clocks: now / min / max - allowed core voltage range - refreshed only while open Save report: - writes all data to RAM:VCStat-report.txt - serial number shortened, MAC address not included Settings: - start mode, strip position, gauge and interval are saved at once in ENVARC:VCStat.prefs (delete it to reset) - optional tooltypes: MINIH=17 strip height in pixels; the icon contains 17 (default piAROS title bar), change it if the strip does not match your title bar MINIX=75 strip position, percent of screen width MINICOLOR=RRGGBB own strip colour (hex) MINIBAR=NO no gauge in the strip Tested: Raspberry Pi 3B+, Raspberry Pi 4 (8 GB), Raspberry Pi 500+. Pi 5: should work (same chip as 500+), not tested. Installation: - copy VCStat and VCStat.info anywhere (e.g. SYS:Tools) - to start at boot, put them into SYS:WBStartup Troubleshooting / reporting a problem: 1. Menu Project -> Save report... creates RAM:VCStat-report.txt (safe to post: no MAC, shortened serial) 2. If VCStat shows no values ("--" or "No valid answer from the VideoCore mailbox"), also run in a Shell: vcdiag >RAM:vcdiag.txt (read-only, changes nothing) 3. RAM: is cleared at reboot, so copy the files: copy RAM:VCStat-report.txt RAM:vcdiag.txt SYS: 4. Send them with your Pi model and AROS version: e-mail below, or post on the forum Notes: - "n/a" = your firmware does not support that request - under-voltage "since boot: YES" = power supply or cable problem, not a VCStat problem Source code included (MIT licence).
